  3. Emma says:

  4. Emma says:

Looks close enough these are silicone too

  7. Petra says:

I’m going to use silicon gel. We have it in pharmacies over here in Finland

  8. Emma says:

Or right have u heard of bio oil I might use that x

  9. Emma says:

Don’t waste your money. Keep it lotioned and you’ll be fine. Basically you’ll heal how you heal.

  11. Erika says:

I use bio oil together with organic aloe Vera gel.

  12. Petra says:

Silicon has been scientifically proven to be effective on fresh and old scars. I wouldn’t walk past it on purpose

  13. Erika says:

I don’t trust buying anything on the net (eBay, Amazon etched) from random manufacturers especially if it contains some form of chemical

  14. Jessica says:

It’s a waste. Not going to debate the issue but I used my daily regular lotion and my scars are nearly invisible at 1.5 years tummy tuck post OP.

  15. Jessica says:

Scarring is genetic and surgeon skill.

  16. Lng says:

It maybe a waste for u but it’s been proven to help others. Just because something Dosent work for a other Dosent mean it won’t work for u as well as just because it works for me doesn’t mean it will work for u. I’ve been using mine a few days on my completely healed over areas and I already notice a difference vs the areas I used ointments on just made it redder. Do your independent research … I don’t really put too much I to amazon/ eBay user generated comments but if u google of any product and do an over all research u will find out more Info

Everyone has basically had the same results with or without the scar strips. Genetics plays a bigger roll in scarring than anything else.

  18. Petra says:

And seriously. If my operation will cost me 8000€ I certainly don’t mind spending 50€ more on a petty gel that will help me look good and heal well

  19. Lng says:

Btw most scars should be invisible by 1.5 years after lol the scar strips just help a little faster more like 6 months of use will show similar results to your 1.5 without

  20. Jessica says:

Mine have been invisible for many, many months. Spend the money on better things, like clothes.

Ladies, I hope we are here to help, support, guide & show each other love in our journeys (tummy tyck). Maybe it’s me, but I’m starting to feel something unhealthy about our comments to each other. Showing love is free

  22. Jessica says:

Yeah. I’m not feeling the competition element that some seem to have with others.

  23. Jessica says:

Erica… A lot of women have had great results using natural products that keeps the scar moist and supple. Especially coconut oil. I used Palmer’s body oil with Rose hip oil and it smells fantastic. But I used that before sx, too.

  24. Erika says:

Good for you Jessica. I agree that we all probably won’t get the same results from using a particular product-genes, age, skin elasticity, hormones, environment, diet, general physical & mental wellbeing etc, plays a part. I think being receptive to others opinions is key & sprinkling that free shit (love) everywhere…this journey is tough, we need each other. Xxx

  25. Jessica says:

Agreed. I’ve seen a lot of opinions get shot down in here… Saying do your own research. Basically asking questions IS research. Lol. But w/e. It’s all good. I’m far along in my journey and I share what I’ve learned with others. Not just my experience but others as well.

Pure shea butter is meant to be fantastic on scars and silicone strips are used a lot on burns and acne scars for improvements, I just bought dermatix silicone gel for my uplift scars and the sheet for my tummy tuck on ebay, I think it won’t hurt to try for a few months, maybe we can take pics and show results to help others with their decisions, though obviously genetics pay a huge part…hence the stretchmarks and saggy tummy from carrying my children…blame my mum!

Jessica Have you tried the silicone strips? What were ur results from them? How long did you use them?
