Well in honest truth, what works for one person may not work for another. I honestly haven’t used it, though I’m planning to start soon. I used it on my daughter when she was the yrs old. The burn center advised me to use it after she had a second and they’d degree burn on her chin and neck. You can’t see anything now that she’s 13. But you might want to keep searching your options.
Oh ok. Ive got on silicone strips. Its seems to be the most recommended thing for cosmetic sugery scars but theyre really expensive considering I have to buy a new box every week for three months after tumy tuck. Oh well. Its worth it in the end.
Tavie I bought the silicone strips and I plan on using those in conjunction with vitamin E oil (not capsules) & Lavender and Frankinsence Essential Oils…If you’re olive complected you can add lemon or grapefruit to lighten the scar. I’m more of a holistic approach gal.
Im using Kelo-cote during the day. Its a silicon gel. Im using the silicon strips at night. Along with vibration massage once a day with vitamin e or sorbalene cream. The vibration is supposed to help with softening the scar tissue so it relaxes back to its normal position.
I totally laughed at the vibrating thing lol. But I will try it too. I think ive hit my point where its at its worst because its kinda dark red and somewhat raised. Im like 2 1/2 months post tummy tuck. Where did you get that gel ad is it expensive?
Mederma. Is it working? Ive read that you might as well use petrolium jelly over mederma. And that onion extract doesn’t really help lighten scars.

Anything that’s more convenient for you. But if you find that’s working for you then in the long run it’ll be worth it. Best of luck to you

What exactly are you using for vibration therapy?
Im using mini massager Sarah . My tummy tuck scar therapist did say that anything that vibrates will be good. Even a electric toothbrush would do it
Okay. I laughed. I get the picture now I may have to try it once my sutures dissolve. Thanks!
Scar gel has work great for me with aloe vera!
