Tummy tuck with mesh
Pregnancy, especially in petit women can severly damage the integrity of the abdominal wall and result in severe stretching of the abdomen and the skin.
These women have a large lower abdominal pouch even though they are relatively thin and exercise.
The problem is that they have very weak abdominal muscles as a result of pregnancy.
I recently performed a tummy tuck with mesh on a women very similar to you, and both of us was amazed how flat her tummy got after I tightened and repaired her abdominal muscles with liposuction. (S. Sean Younai, MD, FACS, Beverly Hills Plastic Surgeon)
I believe that you are ready for a change, that being a routine tummy tuck with mesh and liposuction. Consult with a board certified ps who’s results you can review. (Peter Fisher, MD, San Antonio Plastic Surgeon)
You are an excellent candidate for a new technique called Abdominoplasty with Mesh Reinforcement. Mesh adds mechanical strength to your abdominal wall resulting in early satiety, weight loss and maintenance of your reduced weight.
I only use this technique in women who are not planning future pregnancies and are at the near normal or normal weight. Your BMI is 24.5, which is normal and you are an excellent candidate. (Gary M. Horndeski, MD, Texas Plastic Surgeon)
You would benefit from a tummy tuck with mesh. Your tattoo would be removed. In fact, most scars and stretch marks under the belly button are often removed. (Peter J. Simon, MD, Fort Lauderdale Plastic Surgeon)
From your photographs it appears that you are a candidate for a tummy tuck with mesh. However if you could get closer to your ideal body weight your diet exercise, the results of your Tummy Tuck will definitely be better. (Brooke R. Seckel, MD, FACS, Boston Plastic Surgeon)
Without examining you it is difficult to render an intelligent opinion, but judging from the photos you are not the best candidate for a tummy tuck, since you seem to have considerable amounts of visceral fat which is responsible for your bulging abdomen. You will have some benefit, and your tattoo will be completely removed, but it is impossible to say how much the bulging will improve. Bottom line, it is worth doing if you don’t have unrealistic expectations. (Ruben B. Abrams, MD, FACS, Beverly Hills Plastic Surgeon)
It appears as though you would be an excellent candidate for a full abdominoplasty. This would include removing all excess tissue that lies below the level of the umbilicus to the pubic area as well as tightening your abdominal muscles. It is very likely that your tattoo would be completely removed.
I would also suggest liposuction of your flank area to help put the finishing touches on the overall contour of your waistline. Be sure to make your formal consultation with a board certified plastic surgeon. (R. Michael Koch, MD, Tarrytown Plastic Surgeon)
Most modern abdominoplasties begin with liposuction. You can certainly benefit from that. Skin excision is the next part with positioning of your umbilicus (belly button) at a youthful location. Yes, that will remove the tatoo. My only question is can you benefit from an abdominal plication. If your abdomen is too tight, tightening it will result in an odd result. A good way to tell is to lie down and see what happens to your abdomen.
If it bulges up that means you have too much intra abdominal fat. You can still benefit from the lipo and skin resection but if you want the best result make sure that your abdomnal wall can be tightened too. You might benefit from weight reduction first. (Peter D. Geldner, MD, Chicago Plastic Surgeon)
