I would suggest to get phi it’s going to save you in the long run

But then I have to wait 12 months and I’m so not waiting. I’ve wanted this done for so many years.

It’s a hard one as each drs fees are different! There also generally 3 fees involved ( well here in wa anyway) the surgeons fees , the anethatists fees and hospital fees!
I paid $6058 for my tummy tuck surgeon( this was the medically neasasary fees normally he charges $13k non medically nessasary ) the my anethatists charged $1750 now the kicker is the hospital fees.. I had a lot of drama with my health insurance provider saying they weren’t going to cover me and the hospital were going to charge me $4500 for Theater fees (it may have been more if more tools are needed or it goes over the alloted surgery time) plus they were wanting $900 a night to stay there !! Thankfully my health insurance covered those fees! And this is just for a tummy tuck when I asked about a breast augmentation it was going to cost an extra $4k just for surgeon and it would have been almost an extra $1000 for my anethtist not to mention it would be a longer surgery time so the hospital would charge me more in thester fees. But I decided against the breast augmentation.
This was all privately through a private hospital and I am only getting about $1200 back from Health insurance plus they cover the hospital stay and thester/ hospital fees!! I’m not sure about doing it publicly how much it is but I know the waiting period is very very long! But I hope this gives you a bit of an idea just coming from a private non pubic system point of view anyway!

Well I was quoted around 20,000 so that I guess seems about right. I’ll just have to wait for me next appointment to be sure.

  5. Loren says:

Wow that’s a lot I think I would rather wait a year with phi and save about 12k
    Or I would consider overseas..
I know u can’t put a price on happiness but sheesh 20k is way over the top

Loren I posted about doing my tummy tuck in Thailand the links to the places I’m considering should be in a post further down go have a look I’m looking at under 20k for a tummy tuck boobs legs neck eyes filler and zoom teeth whitening and that includes all hospital fees flights and accommodation

  7. Loren says:

    Charmaine that’s reasonably priced
I believe I read some info
I think 20k tummy tuck in aus is just ridiculous
But I know lots of ppl
That won’t go overseas. My tummy tuck n arm lift in aus left me out of pocket $5900

  8. Lauren says:

All up for my full tummy tuck and MR without PHI I paid $12000

  9. Michelle says:

What’s an MR Lauren? That’s for both a boob job and tummy tuck. I wouldn’t go overseas mainly because I have a massive fear of flying. I went to Bali on a holiday last September and nearly had a nervous breakdown no joke.

I had my tummy tuck done at a day surgery in in the morning out by and it’s about 11-12000 I paid less because I had a mini first so he redid the full one free but he is about 12 for his tummy tuck……. Going through a day surgery saves all the hospital bills I suppose I had no drains either so I found it a lot easier than other friends who went through a hospital they all had drains

  11. Michelle says:

Where did u have yours done Sarah? I’ve had a friend had her breast done at a day surgery and they did a great job but her surgeon who she swears by has too many bad reviews on the internet for my liking.

  12. Sarah says:

I had dr marzola for mini….. Dr zacharia does the full one…….day surgerys prep you different they give you something that makes you not bleed as much so you heal quicker

  13. Michelle says:

Cool thanks Sarah. I’m noticing everyone’s experience is very different and their recoveries are different. I hope mine goes all ok.

  14. Sarah says:

For anyone in adelaide dr marzola is amazing with a needle

  15. Sarah says:

Haven’t got any tummy ones but just as good

  16. Sarah says:

This is only 2weeks po tummy tuck too

  17. Michelle says:

Oh wow 2 weeks. That’s amazing. How come the scars come up so high?

  18. Michelle says:

I can’t believe how smooth the scars are in that short amount of time

  19. Sarah says:

Because I had a lot of excess skin going up high is the direction the flanks go…… If they cut straight across you don’t get as good shape and would get big dog tags……. My ratios is going over it anyway so it doesn’t bother me

  20. Sarah says:

    Ratios= tatoo lol

  21. Sarah says:

Yeah I was surprised too he is really great with stitching up
