I’m ok. I have an appt on an hour to have the drains removed. I’m a little nervous and the oxy isn’t really effective anymore. I feel better for like an hour and thats it. So I’m waiting until I walk out the door to take them. I don’t really feel like the Tylenol or Motrin are helpful at all. I took 2 Tylenol extra strength last night and didn’t feel a difference. I think I over did it yesterday though. I haven’t been resting nearly as much. So after today I am going to tell my husband I need a good 2-3 days rest to try and get back on track. I also hate this binder. My incision is really low and it just rides right ontop of it, or above it so all the pressure is right on my incision. I am going to ask if I can switch to a compression garment today. All in all though I’m doing really well. Much better than expected. I’m typicall pretty good with pain, but it’s been a week and 3 days now so it’s waring on my nerves lol. I know I still have a long way to go. And I am thankful it hasn’t been as hard as some others recoveries. Trying to stay positive and focus on the future months.

Well you know the motto “no pain no gain” – you have a long road to recovery but it will be worth it! Getting the drains out will feel a little better. Keep wearing your garment and use pads to protect the incision from the garment so that you won’t feel so “itchy” either. Take your time regarding getting back on your feet. I read too many times how women think they can get back to “normal day to day life” to quickly and they pay the price!!! You have support i.e. hubby so take advantage of him Let me know how appointment goes today and regarding med’s you just might have gotten used to them You will love the results in the end!

Thanks girl. This may be TMI, not I’m truly curious if this happens to others, when my ‘poop’ is moving through my intestines near the bottom it HURTS so bad.. I was sitting on my couch sweating and had to wait for it to stop so I could waddle to the bathroom as quickly as I could.. Maybe it’s because muscles have been pulled back together I’m feeling everything again, or the pressure under my incision I don’t know but sshhiiitttt… It does not feel good at all

Did you ever have a C-Section???? The problem with our colon/bowel system is we have had major surgery to the abdomen and the colon is really messed up. It’s painful but you will be back to normal soon! Have you taken a stool softner?

  6. Judy says:

you’ll feel a lot better once the drains are out. it was like day and night for me.

  7. Kris says:

No I never had a C section. Buuuttttt, Drains are out!! Omg I thanked the nurse so many times and hugged my husband and thanked him for bringing me today. I am soooo glad they’re gone. I didn’t even care if it would hurt I just wanted then gone. When she removed the stitch that hurt a tiny bit but when she removed them I felt them coming the hole but nothing inside my body. Omg…. So so so so relieved! Going to go find a romper now =] easy up easy down. And I haven’t ever bought one because they looked funny around my mommy pouch, and that’s gone now! Woohoo! They also have me a 3 ring binder so it actually goes over my incision now. Feels sooooo much better. What a good start to my day thanks ladies.
