Best candidate for tummy tuck
While I do think you would get a nice result with a tummy tuck and liposuction of the flanks and back, I think you should keep trying to shed a few more pounds.
You will get the most benefit from these procedures when you are closer to your goal weight. (Mary Lee Peters, MD, Seattle Plastic Surgeon)
When considering tummy tuck and/or liposuction, patients can fall into one of three general categories. One group of patients are best suited for liposuction, having very little excess skin.
Another group of patients are best suited for tummy tuck, having a lot of excess skin (and may have excess fat).
The third group, and the most challenging group to treat, are the patients that are not great candidates for liposuction, and not great candidates for tummy tuck, but are reasonable candidates for either procedure, or both procedures.
From your images, you appear to fall into the third category. First, I would recommend that you maximize any weight loss before considering any tummy tuck surgery. In your current condition, it appears you do not have enough excess skin for a full tummy tuck without a vertical scar or a high horizontal scar.
It also appears that you have a significant amount of intra-abdominal fat which would limit the final result of any procedure(s). If you are having trouble losing excess weight, I would suggest you seek help. Seek out and talk to people that have lost weight. Nutrition counseling and fitness training may help you.
I have seen many patients over the years that have lost massive amounts of weight (over 300 pounds) and kept it off without bariatric surgery. You can do it too. Do not give up if you want to lose weight.

Am I a Best Candidate for Tummy Tuck?
You are an okay but not great candidate for tummy tuck with lipo. To truly have a great result and really get you “money’s worth” I would suggest doing whatever you can to loose weight prior to surgery. This will make your results so much better. It is all about managing expectations after surgery, and I would hate for you to spend money on a TT now, If you could wait 6 months and really get a great result after weight loss. (Erez Sternberg, MD, Portland Plastic Surgeon)
You could benefit from a tummy tuck and or liposuction. It depends on what your goals are from the surgery as well as how big of a procedure you want to undergo. A lot depends on a how loose your skin and muscles are. Your plastic surgeon should be able to define the pros and cons of each procedure after a thorough exam.(Dev Wali, MD, La Jolla Plastic Surgeon)
You are an excellent candidate for a Full Tummy Tuck with muscle tightening and liposuction of your flanks to achieve a better contour. Its time for you to start looking for your Plastic Surgeon and booking your surgery. Meanwhile every pound you loss will help for a even better final result.
You actually seem to be an excellent candidate for both of these procedures. And I say excellent, because you have enough skin to get a really low scar that can be hidden in the smallest bikinis (click on web reference to understand what I mean). This surgery will not only eliminate the fat and skin excess in your abdomen, but will contour your torso due to the following maneuvres:
– Rectus Abdominal Muscle reinforcement: which not only helps flatten your belly but also creates a “corset” effect on your waist which helps reduce its diameter.
– Liposuction of the waist fat: which helps contour and define your feminine curves.
– Centrally-Down pulling of abdominal flap: to pronounce even more your body silhouette. You are one of those cases in which this combined surgery would really enhance the patient’s physique. If you’d wish to discuss your case furthermore, feel free to contact me. (Luis A. Fernandez Goico, MD, Dominican Republic Plastic Surgeon)You are a wonderful candidate for a Full Tummy Tuck and muscle repair. Tummy Tuck will help to eliminate the saggy skin above and below navel, the skin there is already thick and liposuction can not be done at the same time. For that important reason, and also to reduce the intra-abdominal fat, lose weight prior surgery will be great (10 lbs).
Reducing the intra-abdominal fat, will also allow us to do a tighter muscle repair and help you more to lose weight and mainly to achieve a tapered, small waist. Some liposuction to lower back and lovehandle will just improve the curvaceous result. (Laura Carmina Cardenas, MD, Mexico Plastic Surgeon)
