Liposuction of the love handles, a common procedure for body contouring and sculpting is a surgical technique that improves or restores the body’s contour by eliminating excess fat from deposits located between the muscle and the skin.
Liposuction involves removing fat deposits via the use of suction through a cannula, a small, hollow stainless steel tube. A powerful suction pump is attached to the cannula and inserted into layers of fat deposits through very small incisions in the skin.
The suction cannula creates small channels in the the fatty layers though which the fat can be suctioned out. Post surgery, these tiny channels collapse and result in a slimmer appearance and improved body contour.
