Removal of spider veins is one of the most requested procedures. The veins are removed using a technique called sclerotherapy. Tiny amounts of concentrated salt water are injected into the veins. This causes the veins to collapse and go away. Small red veins disappear immediately after treatment. The larger blue veins take a few weeks to disappear. This technique requires great expertise and when done by an expert, the results are much better than any laser treatment of spider veins.
