Often times symmastia is a result of overly aggressive pocket creation during breast augmentation and/or placement of implants that are too large for someone’s chest width. It is a difficult problem to fix, but often involves removal of the current implants, modification of the breast pocket, and decreasing the size of the implants. If it has been an appropriate amount of time since your initial surgery, you could consider revision surgery for this result.

If you are deciding between a breast lift and having breast augmentation with implants, the main factor to consider is breast volume. It may sound simple, but there is no way to add implants to your breasts without making them bigger. Therefore, if you are happy with your current volume, but are unhappy with the appearance of your breasts out of clothing, then you will likely achieve your goals with a breast lift alone.

With the current position of your nipples, breast implants alone would serve you very well. Raising your nipple more surgically would place it in an unnatural position. For someone who is trying to achieve a natural look, I would definitely not plan on moving the nipple to an unnatural position. Good luck.
